FAQ

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. It helps improve social, communication, and learning skills through positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies. ABA therapy is widely recognized as an effective treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental conditions. At Rise With ABA, we use ABA principles to create personalized therapy plans that encourage meaningful and positive changes in behavior.
ABA therapy is recommended for children with autism spectrum disorders and can also benefit those with other developmental delays or behavioral challenges. If you suspect your child may benefit from ABA therapy, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and recommendation. Our team at Rise With ABA can conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine if ABA therapy is appropriate for your child’s specific needs and tailor a program accordingly.
Each ABA session is unique and tailored to your child’s individual learning and developmental needs. Generally, sessions involve one-on-one interaction with a certified ABA therapist who engages your child in structured activities designed to teach specific skills. These activities are crafted to be engaging and fun, often incorporating your child’s interests to maintain motivation. Sessions may focus on areas such as communication, social skills, academics, and daily living skills, using positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors.
The duration of ABA therapy varies depending on your child’s individual needs, goals, and progress. Some children may benefit from intensive therapy over several years, while others may achieve their objectives in a shorter time frame. We continuously evaluate your child’s progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize effectiveness. Our team works closely with you to determine the most appropriate schedule and duration for your child’s therapy.
Absolutely! Parental involvement is crucial to the success of ABA therapy. We encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s therapy journey. This may include participating in sessions, observing therapy techniques, and implementing strategies at home. We provide training and resources to empower you to reinforce your child’s learning and promote consistency across different environments. Together, we can create a supportive network that enhances your child’s development.
Our team consists of highly trained and certified professionals dedicated to your child’s success. This includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBA®), certified therapists, and caring support staff. Our therapists have undergone extensive training in ABA therapy techniques and continue their education to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field. We’re committed to providing the highest standard of care, ensuring your child receives effective and compassionate support.

The Rise Rocket Program is our proprietary social skills development initiative integrated into our clients’ treatment plans. Recognizing the importance of social interaction, we’ve designed three unique social groups to cater to learners at different developmental stages:

  • Little Rockets: For beginners starting their social skills journey.
  • Rising Rockets: For intermediate learners building on foundational skills.
  • Racing Rockets: For advanced learners refining their social interactions.

Each group follows a specific curriculum targeting skills such as functional communication, collaborative tasks, appropriate play behaviors, emotional regulation, and empathy. The program provides a supportive and engaging environment where your child can practice and develop essential social skills.

We begin with a comprehensive assessment to understand your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals. Based on this assessment, our team develops a customized ABA therapy plan tailored to your child’s specific needs. We use evidence-based practices and adjust the plan as your child progresses, ensuring that therapy remains effective and relevant. By maintaining small caseloads, our therapists can provide individualized attention and build strong relationships with each child.
